So you've decided to take up surfing. Unless you're a freak of nature in the water like Kelly Slater or know someone with the patience of a saint to teach you the essentials then you're going to want a few lessons to get started.
The sunshine coast has a great selection of schools to choose from. There's options for all ages and skill levels with group sessions plus one-one coaching available through most schools.
Since the conception of the "hybrid" fish surfboard one shape has been forever engrained in my mind. Most surf schools carry foam learner boards from 6ft6 up to 10ft in length. De...
Being a small local business we're proud to be able to support other small businesses on the Sunshine Coast & Brisbane. We do this in a few ways but getting back to the roots of surfing we're stoked to be able to stock a local shaper Brett Kearney (aka Tragic Idol) Having a great hand crafted surfboard will never go out of fashion & we're stocking some great grovel wave sleds from Brett. Ideal for beginners all the way to serious surfaholics after a summer slider.

In the world of wetsuits it seems that there's now a limitless supply of options out there. From basic budget to super technical.
Choosing one can leave your head spinning so we're here to walk you through some of the basics as well as our top picks.
These days most suits are 100% stretch(can double its own length) even in basic level suits. Most wetsuits are between 80-100% stretch, any more than that and they can overstretch and are proned to thinning out. If you ever owned one of the first generation Ripcurl E-bombs you'll know what we mean.
